In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, all Senior Centers are closed except for the Meals on Wheels Program offering two ways for seniors to get their meals. The implementation of the programs is to protect the health and safety of all participants while taking all necessary and deliberative steps to assure continuity and avoid the disruption of nutritional services.

Take Home Meals (Frozen) Program This program is offered at the Santa Ana Senior Center 424 W. 3rd St on Thursdays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Seniors must register for the service in order to receive five frozen meals each week.  Pre-registered participants will pick up meals and included are instructions on how the participant may safely transport, store, and consume the meals.  Priority for distribution of meals will go to registered participants. Those seniors not registered can do so onsite.

Emergency Shelf Stable Meals In addition to the Take Home Frozen Meals Program, this program will provide Emergency Meals to participants in response to social distancing for COVID-19. Seniors must register for the service in order to receive emergency meals each week.  Pre-registered participants will pick up meals and included are instructions on how the participant may safely transport, store, and consume the meals.  The shelf life of the Emergency Meal is on the front label. The Emergency Meals distribution continues, as funding allows.
