Solorio City Organizers partnered with a coalition of local religious, non-profit, and community organizations to present a safe food distribution event for Santa Ana residents in need. An enormous amount of thanks is due to the all the community partners who worked to organize this event.

To ensure the safety of the community we enacted stringent procedures compliant with COVID 19 guidance from the city, county and state.

COVID safety measures included creating a drive through only event to reduce interpersonal contact, providing instructions for all community members receiving food to stay in their cars and wear a mask as food provisions were loaded in the trunk of their vehicles. Every volunteer at the event wore face coverings and volunteer temperatures were checked at the event start.

For those community members in need who could not attend the event, contactless delivery was provided to their home by placing food items on their doorstep and calling them once event organizers were away from their door.

We are so thankful to our community partners for working on this project with us. Together we served not just one box of food, but 60 pounds of food to over 650 families!

The health and wellness of our community is our priority and we are thankful to be able to serve in this time of need. Thank you Santa Ana! The date of the next food distribution will be announced soon.
